The Camera


Definition 1: Image sensor- is a device in every camera that captures the image.
Definition 2: F-number- An optical system is the ration of the len's focal length to the diameter of the entrance pupil. 
Definition 3: Vignetting- A reduction of an image's brightness at the periphery (edges) compared to the image center. 
Definition 4: Rolling shutter- not a full picture, but pieces of a whole.




Aperture- The hole or opening through which light travels.
Shutter- A device that allows light to pass for a determined period of time, for the purpose of exposing photographic film or a light-sensitive electronic sensor tto light to capture a permanent image of a scene.
Exposure- The amount of light allowed to fall on each area unit of a photographic medium
Depth of field- The distance between the nearest and farthest object in a scene that appear acceptably sharp in an image.
F-stop- The setting of an adjustable lens apertureas indicated by an f number.Focal length- An optical system measure of how strongly the system converges or diverges light.
